Wolf Pen Gap is accessible from the cottages via a 30 minute scenic “backroad” ATV ride to the south trail head in Shady, or a 6 mile jaunt on Highway 375. The cottages are very near the CMA national headquarters and just “down the road” from thousands of acres of easily accessible US National Forest land.

Scenic 25-acre lake in remote mountain setting.The Civilian Conservation Corps developed the Shady Lake Recreation Area in 1937. The Shady Lake Trail traverses Saline Creek and passes the historic Shady Lake Dam. It continues along the eastern edge of the campground. The trail is ideal for day hiking. Mountain bikers may also use the trail.

With a king sized bed in the downstairs bedroom along with a full size bathroom, you will immediately feel right at home. Another sleeping area is set up in the loft featuring a queen size bed and futon. There is yet another futon in the living room so the whole family can sleep comfortably. A full size washer and dryer makes your extended stay more pleasant. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Blankets & bed linens are included. Outside is a wrap around deck with lots of seating to enjoy the outdoors. An outdoor grill & fire pit is available.
